Digital Dose Rate Meter DRM 2000

“Digital Dose rate Meter” is one of the radiation monitoring devices, which is widely used in working environments dealing with radioactive materials or instruments.

The Digital Dose rate Meter is mostly used for dose rate measurement. The sensor of this instrument is a Geiger Muller detector suitable for detection of x and gamma rays with energy greater than 60 keV. This detector has been devised in an external probe so that one can use the instrument for distance measurement of highly active sources up to 1 Sv/h.

The device is full digital and has a microprocessorbased hardware, using a menu driven software which controls different blocks of the hardware as well as different settings of alarm levels and so on. A 16 character LCD display unit is used that displays dose rate, total dose, different menus and settings via keypad selection. The instrument is battery operated using internal 2x3.7 V Li-ion rechargeable batteries, accompanied by an external battery charger.

The resolution of this device is modified, comparing to similar survey meters, by its special hardware and software design.
